Luang Phor Pae (B.E. 2448–2542): A Legacy of Merit and Sacred Amulets
Born in B.E. 2448, Luang Phor Pae entered monkhood at 16 and was ordained at 22 at Wat Pikunthong. By 26, he became abbot, leading a remarkable transformation of the once-neglected temple into a respected spiritual center in Singburi.
To fund its restoration, he created his first amulets in B.E. 2482—marking the start of his legendary reputation. With support from Luang Phor See of Wat Praphrang, he produced early iconic pieces like the Pra Glee Bua and Waen Chaai Ying amulets.
Over the decades, Luang Phor Pae became renowned for crafting powerful amulets known for protection and metta (loving-kindness). His amulets remain highly prized by collectors and devotees for both their spiritual and historical value.
Among his most coveted creations are the Phra Somdej amulets—often featuring his image on the reverse—along with Pra Neua Loha metal-cast pieces and sacred Rian medallions, each batch holding unique meaning. Notable items include:
* Phra Somdej Pim Dteun BE 2494
* Phra Somdej Pae Pan Pim Trong BE 2510
* Rian Luang Phor Pae Roon Neung BE 2502
* Pra Boo-Cha PraJum Wan statue BE 2499
He created nearly 100 batches of amulets, each infused with his deep compassion and spiritual focus.
Luang Phor Pae passed away on 10 February B.E. 2542 at the age of 94. Since then, his amulets have grown even more rare and valuable, cherished not just as sacred objects but as symbols of his enduring legacy.
Beyond amulet-making, he was a tireless advocate for education, health, and social welfare—especially for children. Wat Pikunthong under his guidance became a beacon of service, compassion, and spiritual refuge.
Through his amulets, teachings, and lifelong dedication, Luang Phor Pae’s legacy lives on—continuing to protect, inspire, and uplift countless lives.
