Phra Lersi is a revered figure in Thai mythology, known as an ascetic hermit or yogi who has attained deep spiritual power through intense meditation, mystical practices, and herbal healing. Believed to possess supernatural abilities, Phra Lersi is respected for communicating with spirits, warding off evil, and bringing good fortune.

Often depicted as elderly men with long white hair and beards, they wear simple loincloths and carry magical items like staffs or prayer beads. Phra Lersi are seen as guardians of nature and are associated with sacred natural sites such as caves, waterfalls, and mountaintops.

In Thai spiritual life, Phra Lersi is frequently honored in rituals. Their images and amulets are worn for protection, luck, and enhanced spiritual strength—offering benefits like improved meditation, increased charisma, and shielding from negative energy. Deeply woven into Thai culture, Phra Lersi symbolizes wisdom, power, and spiritual protection.

Luang Phor Kalong, a revered Thai guru monk, practiced meditation, telepathy, and magical incantations. Born in 1919 in Pathumthani, his mystical journey began with a vision seen by a neighbor before his birth. Known as "Kalong" or "flying crow," he had an extra tooth resembling Hanuman's mystical fang, earning him the nickname "Khiew Geow" or "crystal tooth."

Kalong's amulets were highly valued due to his claim that they would surpass gold in worth. He studied magic under Luang Phor Niem and Luang Phor Seung, eventually learning from the Cambodian master Luang Phor Kukan. An early test of his skills involved transforming harmful centipedes back into wood using his own incantations.

During a retreat at Wat Dao Dueng, Kalong encountered supernatural phenomena, including ghostly screams and giant footsteps. These were revealed to be the doings of Tiger Head Lersi, a former monk with whom Kalong had shared a past life. Lersi showed Kalong hidden treasures as proof of their shared history.

Luang Phor Kalong later moved to Lopburi, developing a temple there, and then to Wat Khao Laem, aiming to build nine ordination halls. He meditated often with Luang Pu Toh, who acknowledged Kalong's exceptional telepathic abilities. Kalong passed away in 2009.
