Luang Phu Tim Issarigō – The Revered Master of Wat Laharn Rai
Wat Laharn Rai in Rayong Province is closely associated with the revered monk Luang Phu Tim Issarigō, whose spiritual legacy continues to be deeply respected in Thailand and among amulet devotees worldwide.
Luang Phu Tim was born in 1913 in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya. At the age of 21, he entered the monkhood and devoted his life to the study and practice of the Dhamma. Known for his humility, discipline, and compassion, he gained widespread respect for his deep meditation practice and understanding of Buddhist teachings.
In time, Luang Phu Tim became renowned for consecrating sacred amulets believed to carry strong protective and auspicious powers. His creations were highly sought after by devotees who believed they could bring safety, prosperity, and good fortune.
Among his most famous amulets is the Phra Khun Paen Plai Kuman, a sacred powder amulet believed to enhance charm, attract wealth, and offer spiritual protection. Another respected creation is the Look Om Pong Plai Kuman, a small sacred powder sphere believed to bring good luck and ward off danger. The Phra Kring Chinabanchorn, associated with healing and protection, also became widely popular, especially among soldiers and police officers who carried it for protection.
Luang Phu Tim also created various coin-shaped metal amulets known as Rian, including well-known types such as Rian Jaroen Porn, Rian Nakprok Paed Rorp, and Rian Sema, all believed to bring protection, merit, and good fortune.
Beyond these, he produced other sacred items including Phra Pid Ta, Phra Sivali, carved Palad Khik, ritual knives known as Mitmor, and protective Pha Yant cloth talismans.
Luang Phu Tim passed away in 1991, but his legacy remains strong. Wat Laharn Rai continues to attract pilgrims and collectors who honor his memory and seek blessings through his sacred amulets. His life stands as a testament to faith, humility, and the enduring spiritual influence of a devoted Buddhist master.
