The Biography of Luang Phor Kloy Anomo of Wat Phu Khao Thong

Luang Phor Kloy Anomo, the revered abbot of Wat Phu Khao Thong in Phatthalung Province, is a distinguished disciple of the southern Thai magical tradition rooted in the legendary Khao Oor lineage. His deep connection to this sacred lineage comes through his familial ties—he is the nephew of the famed Luang Phor Eiat of Wat Don Sala.

Born on February 9, 1929 (B.E. 2472) in Ban Makok Neua, Phatthalung, Luang Phor Kloy is now 83 years old. He was ordained as a monk on March 1, 1950 (B.E. 2493) at Wat Kuan Pantaram. His ordination was presided over by Luang Phor Rattanaphirat, with Phra Maha Jerm Tipemo of Wat Don Sala formally announcing his induction into the Sangha.

Today, Luang Phor Kloy serves as the abbot of Wat Phu Khao Thong, where he upholds the ancient spiritual practices and disciplines passed down to him by his esteemed teacher, Phra Ajahn Eiat. Every ritual, especially the consecration of sacred objects, follows these time-honored methods.

Among his most recognized creations are the Hoon Payon "Ta Pa Khao", and Phra Pidta Mahayan, made with sacred white and black herbal materials known as Neua Mahawan Kao and Neua Mahawan Dam, respectively. Each amulet is consecrated with meticulous adherence to ancient rites, ensuring not just spiritual potency but ethical responsibility.

Phra Ajahn Eiat instilled in Luang Phor Kloy a profound teaching: that sacred objects should be created with purity of intention and for the benefit of others—not for mere collection or personal gain. Luang Phor Kloy teaches that if an amulet is misused for harmful purposes, not only does the user incur negative karma, but the creator—the monk himself—also bears a share of that karmic burden.
