Biography:
The legend of Luang Phor Tuad (LP Tuad), a revered high priest, traces back to the Kingdom of Ayutthaya era, the capital of Thailand from 1350 to 1767, during the reign of King Maha Dhammaraja in the mid-sixteenth century. Though the exact date of LP Tuad's birth remains unknown, oral tradition passed down through generations recounts his holiness. More than three centuries ago, LP Tuad, born in the 4th lunar month of the year of the dragon, around 1582 (B.E. 2125) or possibly 1588 (B.E. 2131) in the reign of King Maha Dhammaraja, was given the name "Phu" by his parents in Sathing Phra District, Songkhla Province, Southern Thailand. His lineage can be traced back to Chinese ancestors who settled in Singora, Thailand, centuries ago.
